Token figures are estimates — chars/4 (estimate — docpack has no tokenizer). Section run receipts are not shown: docpack’s runs: ledger records a run against a PAGE, never a section, so a per-section outcome would be invented.
These terms cover your use of the hosted docpack service at docpack.dev, run by Max Lisaius. In short: the service builds and serves documentation from your GitHub repositories. Your content stays yours and stays in your repository. The service is a beta, provided as it is, and it can change. Use it lawfully, keep your keys safe, and either of us can end the arrangement. By using the service you agree to these terms. Effective October 28, 2026.
1The service#
docpack builds documentation sites from Markdown in your repositories, serves them to the readers you choose, and lets agents you authorize search and read them. With your permission it can also write back to your repositories, as described in Security. How we handle personal data is in the Privacy policy.
2Beta#
The service is in beta. Features, limits and prices can change, and parts may be unavailable or wrong. We provide it as is and as available. We may add, change or remove features. If we make a change that takes something away from a paid plan, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.
3Your account#
- You sign in with GitHub or Google. You are responsible for what happens under your sign-in and your keys.
- Keep API keys secret. A key does not expire. Revoke any key you think has leaked.
- If you install the app for an organization, you promise you have the authority to do that and to accept these terms for it.
- Give us accurate information, and tell us if you think your account has been misused.
4Your content#
Your documentation and your repositories belong to you. You give us permission to read the repositories you choose, to build and store copies of your docs, to serve them to the readers you choose, and to write to your repositories in the ways you switch on. We use that permission only to run the service for you. You are responsible for having the right to publish what you publish, and for choosing correctly between public and private.
We do not claim ownership of your content. We may delete copies of it as described in the Privacy policy.
5Acceptable use#
Do not use the service to:
- break the law or infringe someone else's rights;
- publish malware, or content that is abusive, harassing or deceptive;
- probe, attack or overload the service, or try to reach other customers' data;
- get around plan limits, rate limits or access controls;
- resell the service as a competing hosted service without our written agreement.
We can suspend or remove a space or an account that breaks these rules or puts others at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why.
6Plans and billing#
The service has a free plan and is building paid plans. Billing is in test mode and the paid plans are not public yet, so we are not charging anyone today. When paid plans open, they will be billed through Stripe, and the plan details, prices and limits will be shown in the dashboard. Each plan has a monthly allowance of agent calls; when you reach it, agent calls pause until the 1st of the next month (UTC) unless your plan offers pay-per-call overage and you have turned it on. Prices and limits can change with notice, and taxes may apply. A paid plan can be cancelled from the billing portal linked in the dashboard, and a downgrade takes effect immediately. If a payment fails, your account moves to the free plan.
7Ending these terms#
You can stop using the service at any time by deleting your spaces and uninstalling the GitHub App. Uninstalling stops your sites serving and revokes your keys. Your account and organization records are not deleted automatically: email us and we will delete them by hand. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if you do not pay, or if we stop offering the service. If we end the service for everyone, we will give you notice and time to export your docs, which stay in your repository in any case. What we delete and when is described in the Privacy policy.
8No warranty#
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided without any warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or fit for a particular purpose. Docs the service marks as fresh or verified are only as reliable as the checks behind them. Check anything important yourself.
9Limit of liability#
To the extent the law allows, Max Lisaius is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, lost data or lost business. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim, or to a small fixed amount if you paid nothing. Some places do not allow these limits, and then they apply only as far as the law permits.
10Changes to these terms#
We may change these terms. We will update the date at the top and say what changed. If you keep using the service after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the service.
11Governing law#
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA.
